Quantity Surveyor – Civil and Steel Structures in Boden

As a Quantity Surveyor:

You will play a crucial role in managing costs and budgets for civil and steel structure projects within the industrial sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure optimal project execution and to drive efficiencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Typing:

  • Conducting detailed cost analyses, including estimates and budgets for various construction phases.
  • Preparing tender documentation, compiling Bill of Quantities, and evaluating subcontractor bids.
  • Monitoring project progress and expenditures, providing regular reports on budget performance.
  • Implementing cost control measures to avoid over-expenditure and reporting discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborating with project managers to identify and mitigate risks that could impact project costs.
  • Engaging in negotiations with clients and suppliers to secure the best prices and contract terms.

We are expecting from you:

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the civil and steel structure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in cost estimation and financial management of projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications, including cost management systems.
